Can the end of a relationship be a gift?

When talking about past relationships, people almost always remember how wonderful the beginning was (the honeymoon period), how painful the end was, and question what happened in between. In counseling, couples often they say they wish they could go back to when it was more fun and harmonious. But can the end of a relationship be valuable too?

Yes.

The distress experienced at the end of a relationship is in the form of resistance to new circumstances or feelings—loneliness, sadness, and often a misbelief that we did something wrong because it ended. It’s easy to get caught up in the story of how or why it didn’t work: “I guess they weren’t ‘the one,’” or “they changed into someone else,” or “I’m not good enough.” When we’re stuck in the past, there is no new awareness, or positive movement in your life. Self-defeating thoughts can lead to depression and affect other areas of your life too. Our self-protection mechanisms can over-react and sometimes we avoid becoming intimate again. That’s like never growing orchids because they are temperamental and eventually die. Would you be bummed about the leaves turning yellow and falling off a tree or would you honor the seasonal changes?

Why not celebrate the seasons of your relationship?

The end of a relationship is fertile soil to learn about us—our True Selves. It is an opportunity to be vulnerable and reflective, while observing our natural reactions as human beings without over-identifying with them. We can recognize recurring, negative patterns and seek healthy ways to change them. We can also remember the beautiful qualities of our ex-partners. Not from a place of needing them back—instead as a reflection of the same aspect in us, which attracted them. This brings a new awareness to the purpose of the partnership during that season of our life.

Is it possible the end of relationships is where we grow the most?

•	Why are men afraid to be sensitive
•	How to invite your man to be more sensitive.
•	Are men really intimidated by successful women?
•	What do men really want at the end of the day?

The most empowering and uplifting relationships are built on knowing where you and your potential partner are energetically. If your earlier childhood experiences with masculine energy were inconsistent, disruptive, or disempowering, there is a chance you might be attracting the same experiences NOW. To have a new experience requires you to begin to understand your inner dialogue and identify your essence which may be buried beneath years of conditioning. When you do, communication, strength and sensitivity take on a whole new meaning. Attracting a partner becomes simple because your only job is to communicate openly from the most authentic place inside you. The epicenter of who you truly are will attract men even if they don’t understand why. Potential partners will show up as gentle, compassionate and understanding to match your authenticity. Then all you have to do is choose who you want to spend your time with.

All communication stems from an energetic source. This includes body language, facial gestures, and words. Loving and communication is an art rather than a skill—meaning that it comes through you naturally when you’re not trying too hard. It takes introspection, an open mind and heart, and tools to effectively attract a sexy spiritual partner.

Attracting a strong and sensitive partner can be learned through understanding your body, sensory perceptions, and your essence to naturally BE LOVE.

Ultimately, the Law of Attraction is a system that demonstrates how quantum physics, our emotions, and thoughts collaborate together to attract experiences. The law of attraction is happening all the time. There are no coincidences. What you attract is in a direct correlation with your relationship with yourself including your feelings and perceptions. Understanding your authentic “self’ beyond the past, your history, and learned behavior, gives you the opportunity to be more conscious of that which you want to attract. You become the ultimate observer and enjoy a fuller life rather than living life through default and error.

Audiences and clients love working with Corey because he has been the student and the teacher. After making his tangible world dreams come true including his business career and romantic life, a series of higher consciousness experiences trumped anything he “achieved” to show him there was something more. After immersing himself in personal and relationship development programs and traveling the world to meet with teachers and guru’s, he discovered they all lead to the same place—back to the Self—the true Self. Corey now dedicates his life to helping individuals, couples, and groups to create the experience they were born to have. His work is influenced by Abraham Maslow, Eckhart Tolle and 12 step programs.

Brad Swanson has a business degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He started his own self-awareness and spiritual training with a company called Landmark Education in 1994. The Landmark Forum completely altered Brad’s life forever when he was only 21. Brad went on to participate with Landmark and it’s programs for the next 15 years by becoming a Certified Introduction Leader, assisting in over 75 of it’s programs, becoming a staff member, donating well over 1500 hours of his time to the company, and being trained by the top leaders in the organization. Brad honed his skills from this training to become a Professional Love Coach working with men, women, couples, celebrities, and top business owners. He is the Creator and Co-Host of The Male Room.TV where he and partner Corey Jenkins are revolutionizing what it means to be an authentic man. Brad has been a regular guest expert on Dyan Cannon’s (3 time Academy Award Nominee) new show “Get Your Luv On” filmed at CBS Studios, also “The Speel It Show” with Executive Producer Bam Erikson and on “Naked Talk Radio” with Elaina McMillan in Denver, CO. Brad was also filmed by Bravo for his own show this past year as a love coach. Brad’s philosophy “Love is not a concept”.

What does this time of the year represent to you? Is it stress, the flu, end of the quarter, family gatherings, or Christmas parties? This is a high vibrational time for reflection, releasing, integration, celebrating, and honoring your sacred temple.

During the winter months all things in nature wither, hide, hibernate, return home, and enter a resting period, just as lakes and rivers freeze and snow falls. This is a time when yin dominates yang. Therefore one should refrain from overusing yang (masculine) energy. The philosophy of winter season is one of conservation and storage. Spring is the long-awaited change of winter. Seeds sprout, flowers bloom, and the sun warms the earth. There is a sense of renewal and new life all around. While winter was a time to conserve energy and reduce activity, spring is a time of regeneration, new beginnings, and a renewal of spirit.

• Aligning yourself to attract more love and prosperity for 2012
• What do you need to surrender or release?
• What did this year teach you?
• What do you anticipate or need to integrate?
Scholars like Freud, Jung and Adler have made it as an important part of science. It relates to the mechanics of human thought and behavior. Therapy along with its parental science psychology opens up numerous parameters for education, employment, crime detection and prevention, market analysis, national security, marriage counseling, and sports. Many people feel interested to build their career in this field like being one of the best Santa Monica therapists. The fast and modern life of this new age puts more importance on the need of Santa Monica therapists. People face difficulties in human relationships, ambitions, expectations, and behavior. Even a healthy and normal person may have the need of regular psychological counseling to get rid of some confusions and mental complications.

Psychologists and Santa Monica Therapists:

In general, Santa Monica psychologists and Santa Monica therapists are the two “opposite sides of the same coin”. These two terms are often interchangeably used. Both have their targets to provide relief and treat people. They help people get rid of emotional and physical trauma through counseling. But, there is a basic difference between Santa Monica psychologists and a Santa Monica therapists. The mention of Santa Monica therapists covers trained professionals including counselors, social workers, psychoanalysts, marriage counselors etc. Santa Monica psychologists are more like social scientists. They only deal with the mental processes and behaviors. Santa Monica therapists try to find out problems with human behavior and cognition.

What Is The Difference with Santa Monica Therapists?

Just like any other professional, Santa Monica therapists do not try to find out problems rooted in pathological disorder of a respective patient. They do not try to fit any problem into a category of identified disorders. It helps to solve the core problem of a patient from the root. Santa Monica therapists follow the fruitful method of listening to the story and anguish of a patient for hours if necessary. It’s really a unique process as every problem differs from other. After all, each human brain is constructed in its own way. Santa Monica therapists give value to the uniqueness of each problem. Simultaneously, they function to solve them in a perfect manner. Santa Monica therapists explore the right portions of a problem to solve it in an innovative way. They salute to the human mind as far as its genius for adaptation is concerned. They not only identify the problem rather give their best to cure it.

How Do Santa Monica Therapists Perform Treatments?

Santa Monica therapists believe that relationships are far more spiritual than scientific. They serve for the other’s need. They work based on their proper understanding of the science of psychology. Addressing to each other’s fears, loyalties and love brings satisfaction to the job. Santa Monica therapists believe that therapy is nothing but decoding the soul and understanding the mind. Behavioral therapy solves distortions leading to unclear thoughts and actions. They allow their patients to think and act clearly and improve their state of mind. Dr. Ray is one of these Santa Monica therapists who try to achieve reverence for the power of creativity of the human spirit.

Releasing, Celebrating, Honoring Winter, and Bringing in the NEW YEAR FREE Teleseminar on Monday December 12th 730pm to 830pm. Call 1-218-862-6789. The Conference Code is 229015

Topics of the teleseminar might include:

•	Tools to manage stress and handle challenges more effectively
•	Aligning yourself to attract more love and prosperity for 2012
•	What do you need to surrender or release?
•	What did this year teach you?
•	What do you anticipate or need to integrate?
•	What do you envision for winter?
•	How can you make the most out of the winter months and tune into the natural rhythm of nature?
•	Connecting to purpose and happiness

Holiday Depression by Ray Doktor, Psy. D.

Why do people experience holiday depression? Why do cardiac problems spike during the holidays? Why is sobriety more difficult during the winter months?

Holiday depression is common in our culture. The holidays seem to evoke emotional discord in many of us. Whether it’s due to financial stress, interpersonal relationship issues, or past disturbing experiences, there are alternatives to attract better holidays. Many people suppress these challenges because they have come to believe that this stress only happens 1-3 months out of the year. Is there a better solution?

There is a story before another story as to why it is you might dislike the holidays. You might blame your father because of his drinking during Christmas. However, his father was depressed and angry around the holidays too. And now you are challenging to be around too because of this family history. Maybe your parents fought a lot during this time of the year because work slowed down for your father. A family member might have passed away or you had a lover break your heart during the winter months.

Holiday depression might be a family theme. It is important to recognize that many families pass on their cognitive blueprints of their human drama during the holidays. The story that you use to convince yourself that the holidays suck today is entangled with past drama and by confusion from which you have been taught.

You still have the choice to choose how you would like to feel regardless of history. Your feelings and experiences do not have to be contingent on whether Uncle Ernie gets drunk again this year or if you receive that Christmas bonus. You wouldn’t enter an important business meeting with a fatalistic mindset if you wanted to achieve your goal. You wouldn’t visualize yourself losing a basketball game if you enjoy winning. You wouldn’t imagine the worse case scenario on an audition for a casting call.

Here are some suggestions to effectively approach the holidays for a better outcome:

•	Define for yourself how you would like the holidays to be for you without past influences or others’ feedback. Create your own holiday and celebration that better serves your family, friends, and your own needs.

•	Send love to the person or family member you are having challenges with. Envision him/her having a wonderful experience and smiling. Visualize yourself feeling happy. See yourself effortlessly connecting to your loving essence even if other people seem unhappy.

•	Create a hypnotic cue that reconnects you to happiness. For example, you could wear a rubber band and snap yourself when you feel yourself becoming emotionally triggered. You can keep a rock or lucky charm to reminds you of love in your pocket for you to hold while you are communicating with a difficult person.

•	Write out a positive and loving script detailing exactly how you envision this upcoming holiday. Make sure it is in the past tense as if you experienced it already. Be has as vivid as possible to connect the experience to your senses. Note: Do not write a script stating you will not experience depression this holiday. Focus on what you do want, not what you don’t. The subconscious mind doesn’t understand a negative.

•	Maybe volunteer at a homeless shelter or place where you can help those who are struggling.

•	Try to only connect with those who support and accept you. Only engage in gatherings, parties, or events that are alignment with your heart.

•	Self-care is important. This year you could be frugal with friends and family and splurge on yourself such as buying yourself a spa treatment or going away on a vacation by yourself or with a fun companion.

•	Go on a healing retreat. This could be the best time to go because you might be vulnerable and more sensitive. Instead of celebrating the holidays celebrate YOU.

There are many creative ways to experience the holidays with joy. You do not need to call it the holidays if that works better for you. Much of nature goes into hibernation or becomes dormant. The days are shorter and it is cooler. The Taoist suggests rest and not overexerting yourself. This is the time when yin/feminine/moon dominates yang/masculine/sun. It is the perfect time for processing and conserving energy.

The holidays are derived from ancient customs. It was a time for celebration such as for agriculture, the sun, rejuvenation, rebirth, and honoring the season. Holiday depression was probably unusual in ancient times. The holidays today are heavily based on consumerism, vacation time, end of a work quarter, or trying to please your sweetheart or family. Presents used to be tiny and were tied to the Christmas tree. Today, some person’s present is parked in the driveway. Be creative this year and reach deeper inside yourself without being distracted by the chaos of the collective unconscious.

The most effective way to communicate to anyone is to know where he or she is energetically. You can either connect to a person’s essence or repel them by only communicating to them verbally. All communication is about attraction and repulsion. It is important to be comfortable with your own true essence in order for any exchange of communication to feel harmonious.

Our culture is more masculine-dominated. Therefore most women have to force themselves to fit in. For the most part, this is done unconsciously. However, energetically this manifests into depression, anger, tension, and health challenges. It is important to understand how to communicate with men while staying grounded, empowered, and connected to your true essence.

This teleseminar is about addressing all the men in your life: lover, brother, father, coworker, boss, friend, and teacher. It is also about self-cultivation and learning how to connect to masculine/yang energy in nature and in the flow of life. If your earlier childhood experiences with masculine energy was inconsistent, disruptive, or disempowering, more than likely you have internalized some of these experiences and they have become a trait. However, everything can be shifted and transformed.

Topics include:
• Feminine desire of love and man’s search for freedom
• Cultivating feminine and masculine energies
• The goddess versus the ordinary woman
• Being both a successful woman and superior lover
• Cracking the man code: what does he ultimately want?
• What is he really thinking about in his cave?
• Sexual polarity, why was the sex good in the beginning?
• Why does he say I’m too emotional when he seems too rigid?

Listen to the recording below:
